Juliet has recently married her love, Romeo, but
must part with him so he can avoid being put to death for his murder of
Tybalt. She locks herself in her room to
deal with her anxiety and frustrations.
While hidden away in her room, Juliet’s parents arrange a marriage
between the young suitor Paris and their daughter. Imagine you are Juliet and you have just
received the news that you are supposed to marry Paris tomorrow. Write a letter to your parents trying to
persuade them to not make you marry Paris.
